A free one-week summer academy for 6th – 8th graders

Summer STEAM is a free, one-week, residential academy intended to inspire and expose rising 6th-8th grade students drawn from across the Commonwealth of Virginia to STEAM content, applied learning, and leadership developing opportunities.

Summer STEAM 2016 is held in three sessions.

  • SESSION I: July 10-16, 2016 at Old Dominion University, Norfolk
  • SESSION II: July 17-23, 2016 at Washington and Lee University in partnership with Virginia Military Institute, Lexington
  • SESSION III (Girls Only): July 24-30, 2016 at Shenandoah University, Winchester

Student applications must be received by March 30, 2016.  One teacher recommendation is required, so please do not delay if your child is interested in applying for this opportunity.
